Chantal joined OP in September 2022. She was previously employed by Cheyne Capital Management as a fund accountant. Prior to that she worked at Prescient Fund Services (South Africa) as part of the Hedge Fund administration team. She started her career at Maitland Trust Services (South Africa) in 2010. She graduated from Stellenbosch University with a Bachelor of Accounting degree. She is a member of the Operations team.
Charlotte Dicker joined Oldfield Partners in 2022 as Responsible Investment Lead. Charlotte previously worked in Consultant Relations, with a focus on ESG and Defined Contribution solutions, at State Street Global Advisors and Wells Fargo Asset Management. Charlotte holds an International BA in History and an MSc in Management from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
Chris joined OP in October 2009. He started his career at Schroders in 1994 where he stayed for 12 years, initially as a fund manager’s assistant and later as functional head of fund management support. He has also held positions at Dalton Strategic Partnership as head of operations and Insight Investment as head of investment servicing. He is Chief Operating Officer.
Harry joined OP in August 2011. He was previously employed by Herald Investment Management as a research analyst covering the media sector for a total of 5 years. He graduated from Newcastle University, and is a CFA Charterholder. He manages global smaller companies portfolios, and contributes to the overall investment selection.
Richard Garstang joined OP in November 2006. He was previously employed by Man Securities as a research analyst covering the banking and specialty finance sector. He has also worked as a consultant for Deloitte in London and San Francisco. He graduated from St. Andrews University and is a CFA Charterholder. He is Managing Partner of OP, co-manages the international all cap select portfolios, and contributes to the overall investment.
Adam joined OP in February 2024. Previously, he was an Investment Sales Manager at Montanaro Asset Management for 3 years. Prior to this he held similar positions at BNY Mellon, Franklin Templeton and Spring Capital Partners. He started his career as a Stockbroker before moving into Asset Management in 2014. He is responsible for relationship management and business development in the UK and Channel Islands.
David joined OP in March 2024. Previously he was at MFS Investment Management for 20 years where he managed the EMEA institutional business and served as a board member in the UK and Luxembourg. Prior to that he was with JP Morgan Chase in asset management for 8 years based in New York, Hong Kong and London. He started his career as a financial consultant at UBS and financial analyst at American Express. He is a graduate of Wittenberg University.
John joined OP as Finance Director in February 2011 from New Street Research where he was CFO. His career started in 1989 at Spicer & Oppenheim and he qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1992. He has served in finance roles with Jefferies International and Sanford C. Bernstein among others. He is a graduate of Bristol University.
Anindita joined OP in 2023 as an analyst contributing to the overall investment selection, with a primary focus on emerging markets. Prior to OP, she worked as an investment analyst within the 4Factor Emerging Markets equity team at Ninety One. Anindita holds a MA (Cantab.) in Economics from the University of Cambridge and an MSc in Finance and Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), and is a CFA Charterholder.
Christoph joined OP in August 2015. He previously worked as an analyst at Marlborough Partners, providing financing advice to private equity firms. Before that, he worked in the valuation team at Duff & Phelps. He graduated from Aston Business School and Free University of Berlin, and is a CFA Charterholder. He co-manages the international all cap select portfolios, and contributes to the overall investment selection.
Richard Oldfield founded Oldfield Partners LLP in 2005, after 9 years as chief executive of a family investment office. Before this, he was director of Mercury Asset Management plc, which he joined in 1977. He was Chairman of the Oxford University investment committee and the first chairman of Oxford University Endowment Management Ltd from 2007-2014.
He is now chairman of Shepherd Neame Ltd, and trustee of a number of charities. The second edition of his book “Simple But Not Easy”, a “slightly autobiographical and heavily biased” book about investing, was published by Harriman House in December 2021.
Charles Sunnucks joined OP at the start of 2023, prior to which he was involved in cross-border M&A transactions at investment bank NovitasFTCL. He previously worked at Jupiter Asset Management where he co-managed the Jupiter Emerging & Frontier Income Trust, he speaks fluent Mandarin, and is a CFA/CAIA Charterholder. He manages the emerging markets portfolios and contributes to the overall investment selection.
Sam Ziff joined OP in April 2013. He was previously employed by J.P. Morgan Cazenove working in the UK Industrials Corporate Finance team for a total of 4 years. He graduated from Oxford University. He manages the global equity and global equity income portfolios, and contributes to the overall investment selection.
Susan was educated at Oxford University. Since 2002 Susan has run her own investment consultancy, providing advice on manager selection to charities and wealthy families. Susan has 19 years experience in fund management at Barings (1981 to 1990), Mercury Asset Management (1990 to 1996), Saudi American Bank (1996 to 1998) and Alta Advisers Ltd (1998 to 2000). Susan is a non-executive Director of MT Management, a Governor of St George’s College Weybridge, a Trustee of Tower Hill Trust and a Member of the Advisory Committee of Charifaith, and also serves on five separate investment committees helping clients to monitor the investment strategy and returns of their managers.
Beatrice is Chairman of F&C Investment Trust PLC and is senior independent non-executive director of Telecom Plus PLC. Bea is a main board director and Chair of Remco (US) and Chairman of the International Advisory Board (UK) of Brown Advisory and Chairman of Millbank Financial Services Limited. She also advises a number of family offices. Beatrice spent 16 years at Credit Suisse Asset Management in Global Fixed Income after beginning her career at Morgan Grenfell Asset Management. Bea is a trustee of The Prudence Trust and is Chair, trustee and member of the investment committee of Esmée Fairbairn Foundation. Bea is a member of the finance committee of Salisbury Cathedral and is a member of the finance and audit committees of The National Gallery. She has an MA in Oriental Languages (Arabic) from Pembroke College Oxford, where Bea has a Supernumerary Fellowship and is a member of the investment committee.
Robin is Chair of the social impact investment firm Big Society Capital and recently stepped down from being Deputy Chairman at Ruffer LLP. Previously he had been CEO of Philips and Drew Asset Management and head of UK institutional business at Deutsche Asset Management.
Debbie is one of the most prominent figures in the institutional investment management industry. She retired from Mercer last year after more than 15 years as Global Head of Investment Research, having joined the firm in 2005 from then Watson Wyatt. She currently serves as a non-executive director of a number of BlackRock’s legal entities in the UK, is a member of the CFA UK advisory council and was an independent trustee to one of the UK’s most notable pension schemes until the end of 2020.
